WHP 2010 EPIC Awards

The White House Project's 2010 EPIC Awards are a celebration of women's leadership in the media and in popular culture. The April 7, 2010 event took place at the IAC Building in New York City, designed by Frank Gehry. Among those in attendance were Meryl Streep, Jill Scott, Gina Davis, and Megan Mullally. Several awards were presented to women making a positive impact through art and activism, including the Global Trailblazer Award honoring Kiran Bedi, Indian social activist and Asia Nobel Prize winner.

All graphics for the event were designed by Hyperakt, including invitations, place cards, wall graphics, dinner menus, and keynote presentations. Check out pictures from the event on Flickr.

Tiffany Dufu, WHP's Vice President of Development and Administration called the work "just stunning". "Every member of the WHP staff that has worked with you all raves about your skill, flexibility, creativity and especially how nice and cool you both are. I think WHP and Hyperakt is a match made in heaven and I can't thank you enough for you efforts in making our 2010 EPIC awards a success."

Kristina Goodman, WHP's Director of PR and Marketing and Breann Peterson, WHP's Development Coordinator said "The IAC building has never looked better because of your creative genius!"

Bryony Gomez-Palacio, from the design blog For Print Only called the work "cool and crisp."

Shikha Savdas, from design blog Death by Kerning commented: "It's a great use of color and form to create a sculptural piece. Really beautiful work."
