Ok, so I saw something about this a couple of years ago, and then recently saw that Alec Baldwin actually went to see it. Apparently, he just stumbled onto a huge crowd waiting around to see this completely bizarre movie and decided to take a looksee for himself. I’m kind of tempted to do the same. About the movie: ‘The Room’, a rising cult hit, is being hailed as ‘The Citizen Kane of Bad Movies’. Made in 2003 by a weird and wonky dude named Tommy Wiseau, it’s gaining momentum as hipsters and wannabees flock to screenings of the movie in different cities. They recite the awful dialogue and throw things at the screen as utter camp craziness plays out before them.
