It's the first day of Freshman Foundation (other wise known as boot-camp) at Parsons School of Design in New York City. Future Hyperakt principals Deroy Peraza and Julia Vakser are placed in the same foundation group. For the next year they have pretty much every class together. After foundation year, both major in Illustration. Despite very different personalities, they develop appreciation and respect for each other's work and constantly strive to out-do each other.
