Visual.ly is a new platform for exploring, sharing, and promoting great visualizations. We were asked to redesign the site before its official launch. The site demanded organization and structure, so we approached the design as we would an infographic. Our solution was a comprehensive icon navigation system, with intense focus on the visualizations and statistics. We are very excited to have been involved in building a data visualization community.
The anticipation of Visual.ly's launch was impressive, boasting 60,000 pre-registered users, 8,500 Twitter followers, and notable list of partners. It sounds like the design and technology press is digging it too! Here are some snippets.
