Brooklyn Shoppers, Come on Down to Hypermarket!
The addition of the Hypermarket retail space to the design studio at 401 Smith Street blurs the boundaries between Graphic Design, Architecture, Industrial Design and Fashion; a reflection of how Hyperakt creators Deroy Peraza and Julia Vakser approach their work. We filled the shop with furniture, jewelry, clothing and artwork to entice New Yorkers with a love of design, or those just looking for fun, original pieces that are out of the mainstream. Hypermarket is proud to carry work from notable local designers Wud, 4pli and Nicholas Furrow. We recently began carrying clothing from Barcelona design house The Avant and jewelry from RISD alum Hongsock Lee. We're also happy to showcase local up-and-coming artists such as Michael Ciancio, Abbi Jacobson and Jake Messing, whose pieces have been creating a buzz around the City. Come check it out!
