The New York Times Features Hyperakt
New York Times sports writer Jack Bell has written an awesome feature article in Goal, the official New York Times soccer blog. Bell interviewed Hyperaktivist Deroy Peraza, who designed the poster during the tournament this summer. Here's an excerpt from the blog post:

And if you’re looking for a novel and innovative soccer-themed gift for that special someone on Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa or Festivus, you might want to consider a radial World Cup poster.

The poster literally sprang from the brain of Deroy Peraza, a creative director at the Brooklyn design studio Hyperakt, who came to the United States at age 6 in 1984 and grew up in Miami playing soccer in the Latin American melting pot that is South Florida. He says he is “a huge soccer fan,” a supporter of Barcelona and the United States national team.
