Laura Berglund

Senior Designer

Laura is a Kansas City native with a hunger for crafting unique brand stories and editorial design. As a senior designer at Hyperakt, she draws from her accomplished background to help humanitarian organizations develop and expand their visual identities.

After graduating with a BFA in graphic design from the Kansas City Art Institute, Laura worked for three years at the boutique design firm Design Ranch, developing brands, annual reports, and magazines while directing hired illustrators and photographers. Prior to joining the Hyperakt team, Laura worked as a senior designer at Design Army, where she worked with clients including Bloomingdale’s, The One Club, UVA, Washingtonian, and more.

Laura’s work has been recognized in Communication Arts, HOW Magazine, Society of Publication Designers, AIGA, DC Ad Club, Kansas City Ad Club, and the AAF. Recently she was invited, alongside Michael Beirut, Paula Scher, and more of her design heroes as part of the Lolita cover project. She currently lives in Brooklyn, where she enjoys exploring the city and working on passion projects that range from jewelry-making to zines.
